Sungevity, headquartered in Oakland, Calif., was purchased by the Northern Pacific Group, a private equity firm, in August 2017. In April 2018, after Sungevity filed bankruptcy, Northern Pacific Group resurrected the brand by buying and merging two other solar power companies, Solar Spectrum, and Horizon Solar Power

Sungevity partners with loan and lease providers throughout the country that offer a $0 down payment solar lease for qualified buyers.
